Production of the GoM™
Production of the GoM is a graphic tool in Google Earth depicting all Gulf of Mexico protraction areas and individual lease blocks defined by the MMS. All floating host platforms in the gulf, including their water depth, production rates, etc. are included.The tool will be updated soon to provide projects under construction and projects on the horizon. Additionally, shallow water structures and pipeline mapping will be added.

The Gulf of Mexico is prolific in exploring and exploiting deepwater reserves. Much of the world’s most innovative deepwater technologies have been developed and deployed here. There are currently 34 floating host facilities in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico with at least another 7 to be installed in the next two years. Spars and TLPs have the majority of these installations with Semis following. While there are currently no ship-shaped production units installed in the GoM, two are scheduled for installation within the next two years.
Provost Mgmt has been involved in at least a third of these floating installations (see About Us for a list). The facility types cover all that have been and will be installed, including Spars, TLPs, Semis, and Ships. Involvement on these projects has spanned project service from front-end technical support to full project management. Many projects have been supported from conception to operation.Provost Mgmt uses the principals of industry accepted project management practices to organize the work scope and minimize risk. Projects have ranged from smaller independent facilities to major area developments. We have developed data bases that help map the area to gain better knowledge that services our client base.
